[gedit-list] Making windows know the difference between binary and plain text files

Hello,

I've noticed the filebrowser plugin in gedit on windows thinks every
file is a binary file.

According to a post in this mailing list about a year ago, this is a known bug.

The question becomes, what needs to be fixed for this bug to be resolved ??
