[gedit-list] 'Save as' directory

Can someone say whether or not by release 2.26.0 the 'Save As' directory
can be selected, rather than being stuck with the user's home directory?
The 'what's new' link from this page is broken
http://projects.gnome.org/gedit/ so not a great deal of help.
