Re: [gedit-list] sidebar

Hello all,

Speaking of the sidebar, the one feature I miss is a shortcut to set the
focus on the sidebar and to switch between the sidebar's tabs. Since
more and more plugins operate on or in the sidebar, this is a critical
feature for mouse-less usability of gedit.

The problem is which shortcut to use. Since asking for suggestions is
unlikely to yield many answers, I think I'll start the polemic by
stating that CTRL-Tab seems like a perfect choice ;-)

Seriously: What about CTRL-ALT-Numbers?

Since the only tabs within gedit are the document tabs (that can be
switched by pressing ALT+Number) and the side and bottom bars' tabs,
this seems like a sensible choice. We could start assigning numbers for
the side bar's tabs, and continue on the bottom bar.

Cheers,
Fred
