[gedit-list] Word wrapping does not work (for me)

Anyone know if there is a bug with the 'enable text wrapping' option,
or perhaps an incompatibility with some other option or plugin? I've
tried the option with and without various other options ticked (eg.
'do not split words over two lines'), and with both monospace and
proportional fonts. I've also tried disabling plugins. But I can't get
text wrap to work.

(This is with gedit 2.20.3 on Ubuntu)
