Hi Trond,

	are you using the oblivion color scheme? That theme uses a alpha
overlay to have a slightly different color on the right hand side of the
margin. However we experienced in the past that on some video cards that
is very slow, probably due to hitting a slow path in the
cairo/xserver/video driver. Since much time passed since we tried that
we tried reebling the alpha overlay in 2.20 in the hope that the video
drivers were fixed... I guess that if that's not true we should roll
back that change.
