mmm... good point: we already monitor mtime changes but I guess we could
also monitor permission changes. Patches are more than welcome, please
fill a report in bugzilla so that it doesn't get lost.

Well, I am not so sure about this... I can see your point of view, but
on the other hand I prefer to keep windows independent. Anyway it is
rather easy to create your own custom doc list sidepane in a plugin.
