[gedit-list] request a feature

Hi People 

I am using gedit and i like a lot   but would it be possible to add a
feature ? 

it is a feature that i saw in kate , when you save a document with  some
source extension .c .cpp .java .f  and so on    kate recognizes  the
blocks  which the code is made of and add these plus signs  to expand
and to hide  certain parts of the code
