Re: [gedit-list] Regular Expressions]

Hi,

The news page for glibc 2.2.2 (http://www.gnu.org/software/libc/NEWS) says
"regex now handles multibyte character sets correctly. Contributed by Isamu
Hasegawa <isamu yamato ibm com>.". I don't know enough about character
encodings to know whether I should interpret that to mean that it supports
UTF-8 though. Does anyone know?

Jason

hmmm.... dunno, but I think it supports UTF-8 only in UTF-8 locales.
Anothere problem is that we cannot depend on glibc (gedit is running in Solaris and other non GNU/Linux OS)

Ciao
Paolo
