Re: [Geary] Migrating to gitlab.gnome.org

Hi Mike,

Once the migration has started do you have any estimate on how long it will take?

Cheers,
Stu

Hi all, This is just a quick heads-up to say Geary will be migrating to GNOME's Gitlab instance for both bug tracking and source code soon-ish. This will make it much easier to contribute code to Geary, since Gitlab has a modern workflow that integrates source code, bugs, and merge requests together quite nicely, and also has support for continuous integration for automatic code testing and quality checks. I've been working with the GNOME sysadmin team to improve the bug importation process a bit, so once that's all sorted out the migration will be able to start. As a result, if you have previously submitted or subscribed to any Geary bugs in Bugzilla that you would like to continue to keep track of, now would be a good time to go create an account on https://gitlab.gnome.org. If you use the same email address there as you have used for your Bugzilla account, when existing bugs are migrated you will be automatically subscribed to the corresponding Gitlab issues. Let me know if you have any questions about this. Cheers! //Mike
