[Geary] Can’t type in body area

Hello:

I was about to post to the list about another topic, but even creating an email does not work. 

I just upgraded from 0.11 to 0.12 on my Fedora 26 laptop (using standard packages), and when I create a new 
email message I can type in the To: and the Subject fields, but the body area is slightly grey and the cursor 
cannot be clicked into the space to type anything. 

Any suggestions?
