Re: [Geary] Yahoo is slow to update

Hey Steve,

[cc'ing the list again]

If Stephen Michel's suggestion of switching between inboxs of different accounts doesn't work, then Yahoo might be doing strange with the IMAP protocol that Geary doesn't expect. Try checking Bugzilla in case the issue is already reported there, and if not then open a new bug and we can investigate the problem there.

Cheers,
//Mike

Hi Mike,
Thanks for getting back to me. Yes it's the same issue I refer to in both posts... just framed it a little differently hoping to twig someone's memory of what might be causing the issue. I've tried everything I can think of to jog Geary into updating the inbox... ie. selecting different accounts/mailboxes, changing settings etc. Sometimes it takes an hour or more for Geary to update the inbox with the new email, and it seems to only happen with Yahoo. Killing and restarting Geary process always results in a proper inbox update.
Thanks,
Steve.

Searched the archives but couldn't find any reference to this one:

My Yahoo account shows new mail has arrived in the server list on the left, but there are no new emails shown in the next column. If I exit and kill Geary process, then restart, it will show the new emails.

This seems related to your last post - what happens if you select a different mailbox then go back to the Inbox?
