Hi, First of all, apologies if this has been reported before but I couldn't find a relevant answer to this particular topic, so I thought I'd ask here. I've tried today to setup a @gmail.com email account in Geary with a simple username/password (no 2-step verification) and found that I could not do it, since Geary would always report "incorrect password", even if it's ok. I've digged a bit more in the logs (see output of geary --debug attached) and found that the problem seems to be that Google is rejecting the authentication because of not having "Less secure apps" access enabled in my Google account. In contrast, I can log in with the same username/passwod in Evolution without problems without enabling "less secure apps", so there has to be a way to make Geary work I guess. Btw, I was using Geary built from master branch on top of my Fedora 21 box, so I assume this is is an existent issue, although I've checked the archives and the bugzilla and did not find anything, other than a bug related to enabling support for the 2-step verification [1] Question is... is there any ongoing effort on making this work? If the answer is no, any idea/hint on what would be needed to fix this issue? Thanks in advance, Mario [1] https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=713745
