But you can easily enter the spam folder, select all the messages with Ctrl+A and delete them with Alt+<?> (where <?> depends on your locale.. you'll see the character to use underlined while you hold Alt).

When viewing the spam folder, pressing "Delete" doesn't delete the spam.  And there doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of the spam directly from Geary.  I connect to my gmail account using Geary.
