[Geary] Address book?

I'm confused about Geary's ability to access my google contacts. I can
type part of a name, sometimes I get address completion, sometimes not.
Is Geary looking at my google addresses? Am I missing something here?
I would love to get some clarity on the address book issue. Thanks.
