I agree that this should be a separate library.

Since libxslt operates on document nodes, we should only have to go from 
Gdome document nodes to libxml2 document nodes and back.  This should 
greatly simplify things.

I think that libxslt creates a new document from scratch, so 
memory management shouldn't be an big issue.

Anyway, I'll try to put something together by next week.
