[gdome]Pointer like things with gdome?

Hi,

I want to write some sort of database program. Therefore I thought out two 
linked lists. Every node of lists one contains an array of pointers to 
some nodes in list two.
I was told that it would be a good idea to use XML for disk storage. I 
found gdome and I think it's an easy way to read and manipulate the data, 
but how do I implement the pointers?
