I don't think this log is current:

gnome-session[398]: DEBUG(+): GsmManager: *** Adding autostart apps
for /usr/share/gdm/autostart/LoginWindow/

We haven't done that since

After adding Enable=true to [debug] of custom.conf the two files
:0-greeter.log and :0-slave.log are the mostly likely to have useful
debugging information in them.
