Hi Meik,
I've recently tried including gdm and ConsoleKit patches into the packages 
shipped by my distro but didn't had much luck. However for me it was relatively 
easier to build GDM 2.16 and use that for multi-seat setup instead of 
investigating and adjusting patches. Something you may consider.
