Hi folks,
All of my workstations run Debian squeeze and gdm with login and
logout scripts. The latter is a bash shell script, called from
/etc/gdm/PostSession/Default, and is located on the file server,
available via NFS. It's supposed to create a "logout file" in a
directory on the file server.
Usually, everything works fine. But, every once in a while, and only
when a user elects to logout and shut down the workstation at the same
time, that logout file is not created. I assume this is because the
network connection is stopped before the logout script has a chance to
complete.
Can anyone suggest a good way to ensure that my logout script always
completes before the network connection is stopped?
Thanks,
Jaap
