Can you offer any insight?
I see the above messages over and over in the log. It looks like GDM is
trying to start the Xserver and it is failing with code "1#012".
This sounds like an Xserver error, or perhaps a graphics driver issue.
Is there no information in the Xorg related logfiles in /var/log that
might indicate the nature of the problem? Might also be useful to check
the log files in /var/log/gdm for any error or warning messages that
might highlight what the issue might be.
