I've tried with 3.1.x (can't remember which).  It doesn't work.  Googling
around for porting directions from 2.6 to 3.1, people don't seem too
concerned about their software just yet.  If you want to try to figure out a
strategy, I think it's a good idea to plan for the future rather than
scramble like we kinda did with 2.6.
