John, did you file a bug for liboil or notified the devs? Maybe also
poke the GStreamer folks.

Can you still reproduce this with latest liboil? I have bumped it to
version 0.3.14 recently, due to bug fixes and soon-to-be-raised minimum
required version. Would be great, if you could check this. :-)
