gaim2 beta3.1 configuration issue in garnome 2.16.0

After completing compilation the gaim2 beta3.1, when launching gaim, I found lots of log in my xterm.
It seems the debug mode was turn on.

After checking the old version, I found there one more line at the end of Makefile in gaim master directory.

CONFIGURE_ARGS := $(shell echo $(CONFIGURE_ARGS) | sed 's,--enable-debug,,')

I think it may be an issue?
