I did. Ages and ages ago. Posted to the garnome list. It should be in the archives. If not, replacing "-iname foo*bar" with "-name [Ff][Oo][Oo]*[Bb][Aa][Rr]" isn't exceedingly difficult.

Oh, and grep'ing for Solaris in /etc/release is a _terrible_ way to do OS detection. uname is there for a reason. /etc/release is only required to determine which sub-sub-sub flavour of Linux you're dealing with.

Judging from your recent comments and behavior, Free Software seems to
be a one-way thingy to you. It's free for you to use, but you don't
bother fixing or at least discussing issues for the benefit of others...

I did, and have. It's been a total waste of time so far where Gnome is concerned.

btw, GNU is not UNIX. And GNU is not Linux either. So please, take your
braindead comments about Linux and your world elsewhere.

And the entire world isn't GNU. If you want to live in a GNU-only world, I can't stop you. But I keep trying to make things work for more folks. I suggest you google my name before accusing me of not contributing to open source projects.
