there some GAR method for handling situations like this, like Portage
does with allowing patches to be applied as part of the ebuild
processing?
- Create a diff file in files/foo.diff (relative to the main dir of the
tarball - e.g. the diff should contain filenames of the form
mypackage-1.2.3/src/foo.c)
- Add a "PATCHFILES = foo.diff" line to the Makefile
- Do a "make makesums"
