Hi,
I recently downloaded garnome-2.8.0 to build the latest Gnome 2.8.
I overcame the infamous "docbookx.dtd" problem after I downloaded
http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/xml/4.1.2/docbkx412.zip
and put the contents into
$(HOME)/garnome/etc/xml/
The build goes further now, but is stops in gnome-speech-0.3.5 where
this happens...

which looks similar to this earlier problem described by Jean-Luc Coulon
on 28 Sep 2003 for garnome-0.2.7
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/garnome-list/2003-September/msg00551.html
which he later said was related to a problem with Java environment
variables.
I'm on RH 9, with CLASSPATH unset and JAVA unset and, apparently, IDLJ
unset when the Makefile in gnome-speech is hit.
What should I do?
TIA.
