Are you using epiphany 1.0.7 or 1.1.x?

Strange. I was convinced that mozilla 1.5b was the problem because
if I paste the link (home.t-online.de/~fam.natter/prüfung.txt.zip)
into mozilla 1.2, the download dialog (with open and save options)
opens and I can save it. If I do the same with mozilla 1.5b,
nothing happens (it loads for a short time and then stops without
the page being changed). Can you try this?

Maybe, but it crashes my epiphany.
the real link would be (the 8bit character is a u with accent, ü):
http://home.t-online.de/home/fam.natter/prüfung.txt.zip
If the link is encoded in this e-mail you can find the URL in
this bug-report:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135688

Maybe you can post your setup and results in the above bug-report.
thanks,
