I'm currently running Garnome 2.5.92, and I'm still having the same
problem:  image previews are not created in nautilus.  I have properly set
XDG_DATA_DIRS (to $GARNOME/share), but no luck.

As I can't get automatic image previews to work, I'm wondering if there's
a manual way?  Is there a command I can execute to create previews for a
specified file or directory of files?  (It's currently far too frustrating
to access images from my digital camera without previews)
