yup, although i already had something very similar (i've been using gdm
with garnome since hacking-0.19). but i've got no 'Xsession' option in
gdm. it seems the fileformat has changed (i've compared entries in 
garnome-0.24.2/etc/gdm/Sessions with garnome-0.25.1/etc/dm/Sessions).

it works now, i've edited ~/garnome/etc/dm/Sessions/gnome.desktop :

Exec=/home/peter/garnome/bin/gnome-session

changed to :

Exec=/home/peter/.xsession
