compile fails at libasound

Hi!
	Downloaded Garmome 0.21.2 and after compiling and downloading fine for
about 24 hours on my old p180 it fails with the following:


L/usr/lib -ldl -lartsc -lpthread -lartsflow -lartsflow_idl
grep: /usr/lib/libasound.la: No such file or directory
sed: can't read /usr/lib/libasound.la: No such file or directory
libtool: link: `/usr/lib/libasound.la' is not a valid libtool archive
make[6]: *** [libgstarts.la] Error 1

I can't find these files on the system or by using rpm -q
--whatprovides.

Does anyone know what the library is cxalled and where to find it?

The compiler was here when it happened:

../gstreamer/gst-plugins/work/main.d/gst-plugins-0.6.0/ext/arts
