Hi Rico,

I've tried installing gdk-pixbuf 0.12 & 0.22. I've removed all the files 
that I could find and did a ldconfig.

I'm running slackware 8.0 with heavy modifications.

I just found the solution. Hitting my head against the wall. I removed 
the old package with pkgtool.
