Garnome 0.9.5 installation fails.... not finding docbook

I had worked my way through nearly three hours of compiling and
installing Garnome 0.9.5 when I finally reach an error I can't seem to
fix. Below you see the final text before the process stops:

creating DocBook XML Catalog /root/garnome/etc/xml/docbook
could not locate version 4.1.2 of DocBook XML

Funny thing is: I DO have docbook-xml-4.1.2 installed!! I've tried
removing it from my system, the re-installing it..... but to no avail
[:-(]
I'm at a loss here! Any ideas anyone??
