all dependencies?

Just a question:

I'll build garnome this night.

I started to compile and had some problems with dependecies.
After adding to packages it works. I aborted it after 5 min.

The first configure reported no error then. Does this check for all
dependencies?
Or will some be checked for later?

I mean If everything works with the dependencies in the first 5 minutes,
should it work for all 10 hours?
