balsa in gnome-fifth-toe (garnome-0.19.5) does not compile with aspell

I wrote already one month ago to the author Peter Bloomfield
<PeterBloomfield MindSpring com>. He pointed me to
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94698. There is a discussion
to this problem, which stops with:

BALSA_2 branch can work now with aspell>=0.50. I mark the report as fixed.


So I am helpless. Balsa should work with aspell>=0.50, but it doesn't. Is 
there an old balsa version in garnome-0.19.5? I can't reach 
http://www.balsa.net, to check this. Is there any other hint?
