SUCCESS! Re: Installing garnome 0.19.3 on Mandrake 8.2

It turns out I had one missing development library: libcups1-devel. As
soon as I installed it garnome compiled and installed out of the box
without errors.

I can't figure out why libgnomeprint couldn't be persuaded to compile
without CUPS support - perhaps --with-cups=no is the wrong option?

Anyway, garnome 0.19.3 installed just fine, but it refuses to start.
I'll start a new thread on that.
