I created
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=379224 and uploaded a CVS diff patch and some icon files.
Your suggestion of some other visual cue other than color for usability
is a good one, but I've not attempted to put that into the graphics
files. I'm sure there are others who can create much better looking
images anyhow.
I also attemped to update the file gtali/help/C/gtali.xml with
additional documentation, but since I'm currently having an issue with
yelp on my box (it crashes looking for libgtkembedmoz.so, or simply
crashes when I try to sym link some recent mozilla/seamonkey versions
of that object to /usr/bin), I've not been able to verify how this
looks in the help system.
I avoided using the (presumably trademarked) name "Kismet" in the
interface of the program itself, although I do mention it in the help
file and in the source code. For the time being, I'm calling the two
versions "Regular" and "Colors", although I'm not at all dogmatic about
names.
The known bug that still remains is that when I change games in
preferences and start a new game, I continue using the old dice
pictures. The game does play with the new scoring and categories, and
if you restart gtali, it uses the "right" pictures. I tried a few
things yesterday to get it to replace the old images with newer ones,
but I was unable to get that working. Comments and suggestions are
welcome.

Geoff
