Re: NFDC files (was:gui & Database)



My vote goes to DAFIF.  That's really the core dataset used for all
updates... including Jepps.  They're not likely to go away, as the
data's already out there for most structure-related issues (most
airports don't move) AND DoD has gone to this method of data
distribution and caannot readily go back.  They _could_ lock down the
servers, but I don't see that as likely.

The data dictionaries are well defines and pretty static, and changes
are documented well, so keeping up with the database deltas should be
straightforward.
