I don't think it's required as a rule. I think perhaps this page
may be mistaken.

$ cvs checkout gnome-foundation
$ ls gnome-foundation/applications/approved/

Or you can look at the list of names on the CVS-on-the-web interface at
http://cvs.gnome.org/bonsai/rview.cgi?cvsroot=/cvs/gnome&dir=gnome-foundation/applications/approved

(Ugh, what a URL: if that didn't work, go to http://cvs.gnome.org/
and pick "Navigate CVS using Bonsai's repository viewer" then follow
the obvious pathname: gnome-foundation; applications; approved.)
