Stormy could describe her needs better than I can, but I'm not sure if she
is following the foundation-list mailing list so I'll give it a shot and
cc her and perhaps she can reply...
I think she wants a set of tools to migrate a user's CDE preferences into
GNOME preferences so that users can preserve any desktop customization
they have done. It sounds like what you and Stephen are working on is
addressing this need.
I think she also wants a set of tools to help one set up and/or admin a
large set of accounts, such as a company or school which may have hundreds
or thousands of users. I'm not sure to what extent this is just
converting CDE preferences to GNOME preferences, or if there is a need for
other admin tools.
The GNOME Project has basically nothing for either of these tasks right
now. It seems appropriate that these transition tools may be part of the
GNOME project, reside in GNOME CVS, etc. if the authors of these tools
agree.
