No, just to reduce the number of surprises that appear to be occuring in
the project

Surprises, when others are concerned about the same issue and would
like to have some input on how to fix the issue, generates paranoia.

So there is nothing particular about Gnome Love that is at issue here,
just that alot of people were similarly concerned and generating similar
ideas, and so found an announcement a surprise.  This makes it more difficult
to reach rough concensus, in many circumstances.
