I find it more than aggressive. This is completely unecessary as a comment
and shows a complete lack of respect for someone who may very well be a
good contributor.

As far as I can tell the only requirement for candidacy was that you be a
foundation member.  Just because you don't know them does NOT mean they
aren't able to be a candidate and it also doesn't mean they deserve to be
cut down in such a matter.

And yes, if you want to be a candidate, go ahead.
