I have couple of photos before and after exiftool:

x100s:

and xe-2:

In exiftool I am using command
exiftool  '-FileName<DateTimeOriginal' -d %Y-%m-%d-%%f.%%e  ./
I thought this should preserve original times (and does with other cameras).

If you have time to look at these, I would be very grateful.

The metadata is read using taglib-sharp. Would there be a way for you to share the RAWs somehow, and/or paste the Exif (good and bad) to check for any differences?

(either that or just send me your X100S :D )

Did some more testing, I have 2 fuji cameras x100s and xe-2.

Raw files from x100s end up with wrong date if I rename photos with exiftool, but if I just copy files dates are ok.

Raw files from  xe-2 allways end up sorted with the date modified, not date the photos were taken. No matter if I use exiftool or not.

Canon files work fine (5d, 5dmkII, 7d)
Sony nex-5 had the same problem at some point but it was fixed by some update.

Hi all.

I have one problem importing renamed photos to f-spot. I convert my photos to year-month-day-original-filename format with exiftool.

Problem is, that when I import Fuji .raf files to f-spot it arranges them according to modification date, not date it was taken.

Canon files work fine, problem occurs only with fuji files.

Any ideas?
