To me, organizing photos by folders is very easy and adequately
manageable when using a file manager, like nautilus for Gnome. THe way
f-spot organizes photos is compatible with a foler organization, I use
it for years now. Simply copy your photos inside the right folders,
and import the folders inside f-spot : you get the best of the two
worlds.
F-Spot does not need to handle a by-folder organization option for this, imho.
