Has your f-spot gone thru some upgrades? It seems the f-spot you're
using for screensaver is quite old, since it's trying to access to an
old database.
do you manually upgrade? do you have different versions of f-spot
installed?
the command executed for ss
is /usr/lib/gnome-screensaver/gnome-screensaver/f-spot-screensaver
check out its content. should simply run f-spot -slideshow.
