I just installed glib-sharp 2.12.1 from 
https://launchpad.net/~ruben/+archive

  and still have the same make error with current trunk:

error CS0136: A local variable named `result' cannot be declared in this 
scope because it would give a different meaning to `result', which is 
already used in a `method argument' scope to denote something else
generated/DriveAdapter.cs(219,71): (Location of the symbol related to 
previous error)
