Re: Testers wanted for Sidebar Editors Patch

Hi had a quick bash. Here are some initial observations:

1) When the user hits the 'Edit' button (or double-clicks a photo), I
think the Sidebar is going to have to auto-switch to show the edit
buttons. Still showing tags won't cut it for novice users.

2) Desaturate, Sepia, Soft Focus and Autocolour all need to bring up
'OK/Cancel' buttons in the side-bar, to give the user the option to
abort if they don't like the look of the preview.

3) It wasn't that obvious to my wife that she could click on 'no
constraint' to set a constraint for crop.

4) The constraint for crop is fancy in that a 4x6 can give you either a
4x6 or a 6x4 depending on how you draw your selection box. In one sense
thats nice, but it confused my wife. She would prefer seperate choices
when setting the constraint. Perhaps have separate radio buttons to
choose portrait or landscape, or just double up inthe choice list.

I think this is sidebar style is a good way to go - my wife coped with
it pretty well (thats a good test!), except for the points noted above.

Cheers
Karl
