F-Spot fatal error

I use SLED SP1 with f-spot-0.1.11-16.31. After plugging in my canon camera
and clicking on "import photos", i get this:
An unhandled exception was thrown: The handler for the event

F-Spot will not open either from the camera or from "more applications".
Gives that error both ways. How do i fix this?
