RE: Can not import Canon 1D photos

Antti,

Which OS, distro, kernel?

I'm using Ubuntu 6.10 had an issue with udev pnp for digital cameras and
not setting the correct read / write permissions. I ended up having to
manually correct the issue by hand.

Basically there was a rule in the beginning of the file,
/etc/udev/rules.d/45-libgphoto2.rules, that made it skip the entire
file, which wouldn't set 0660 permissions and plugdev group to the
libgphoto device.

That might be your problem or it could be something else. But as
suggested by someone else, check gphoto2.

Nathan.

Subject: Can not import Canon 1D photos

I borrowed my friends Canon Eos 1D, and when I try to import pictures,
F-spot tells me that it can not import, error message says unrcognized
token: ""

Has anybody else had the same problem?
