Hi all,
I've created a patch that enables pre-caching of the 'expected next'
item in full-screen mode (and secondarily in 'edit-photo' mode as well).
I couldn't find a bug to attach the patch to, so I created a new one:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=343856
Basically, with the patch, f-spot tries to guess what image you are
going to load next, and loads it in the background - if it completes the
background load before you switch to the next image, then it redraws
immediately, rather than doing the slow, progressive load thing.
I'm interested in feedback on this from other people --- for me, it
makes a *huge* difference when viewing images in full-screen mode...
Warren
