It'd be great if there was a way to store the value of the Copy checkbox
in settings. I use gnome's default import to import to Photos (plug the
camera in and let it do what it wants). Then I have to remember to
uncheck the copy box when I import, if I miss I end up with duplicates.
Actually the best solution would be to have f-spot just check for new
pictures in Photos everytime it launches, that way I don't even need to
worry about the import.
Thanks, Phil Howard

Does this also work for images stored on a network drive. I have
already cataloged all my pictures on my NAS using PSE4.0, and i don't
want f-spot to copy/move all these 10000+ images over the network to a
local drive.
Is there a tutorial how to do this?
If F-Spot will let you import from that network drive, then you should
be able to uncheck the Copy checkbox and it will access them where they
are, without copying.
That said, it will have to read all 10,000+ images to generate
thumbnails of them, so I hope your network is fast.
